About Vivek Express
Vivek Express is a chain of trains in India. These are all express trains introduced by the Indian Railways. Up to July 2013, total four Vivek Express trains carried passengers in India.
History of the Vivek Express trains
The Railway Minister of India officially gave the introduction of the Vivek Express trains in 2011-2012’s Railway Budget.
Some relevant facts about the Vivek Express trains
- The Vivek Express trains were launched in India to pay tribute to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of his 150th birthday which took place in the year 2013.
- Among the four Vivek Express trains, the one connecting the cities of Kanyakumari and Dibrugarh runs through the route that is considered to be the longest in our country.
- The Dibrugarh- Kanyakumari Vivek Express ranks 16th in the list of the world’s most prolonged routes.
