1. Rajendra Prasad
Firstly, The first president of India was Rajendra Prasad born in Bihar. On 26th Jan of 1950, he selected as 1st president of India and also the same day our country had become as a “Democratic India”. Rajendra Prasad also took charge as the president of the organization preparing Constitution of India. He served for twelve years as a president of India and also he is the only person who served as a president for the longest period of time. From 1950 to 1962 he served as a president of India.

2. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan took charge as 2nd Presidents of India in 1962. He was a knowledgeable scholar and also the teacher by profession. In 1954, he was awarded India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna. At the time of his period, an education system and also the academics of the country had been developed. He was the 1st nonpolitical person served as president of India. Radhakrishna belonged to Andhra Pradesh State. From 1962 to 1967 he served as a president of India.

3. Zakir Hussain
Zakir Hussain was 1st Muslim president of India and he was also the 1st president who died on the period of serving as a president. As Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan he was also coming from the non-political background and was also knowledgeable philosopher and teacher. In 1963, he was honored with Bharat Ratna. From 1957 to 1962, Zakir Hussain had worked as state governor and later from 1962 to 1967 he served as India’s Vice President and then he held the position as 3rd president of India. From 1967 to 1969 he served as a president of India.

4. Varahagiri Venkata Giri
The 4th List of Presidents of India was Varahagiri Venkata Giri, he was famous as VV Giri. After the death of President Zakir Husain, he was appointed as temporary president of India 3rd May of 1969 to 20th July of 1969 i.e., only for two months and he voluntarily left the office from the president post in order to participate in forthcoming president’s elections to serve as a full-time President of India. After VV Giri’s resignation Muhammad Hidayatulla had appointed as temporary president of India Then Varahagiri Venkata Giri had become the 4th president of India in an independent category and in 1975, he was awarded Bharat Ratna. From 1969 to 1974 he served as a president of India.

5. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed
In the List of Presidents, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed was served as 5th president of India and was also the 2nd president who died on the period of serving as a president. In India, at the period of President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed State of emergency was declared. He had united with Indian National Congress and also joined in Freedom Movement of India. After the death of President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Basappa, the Vice President of India Basappa Danappa Jatti had appointed as president of India. Previously Basappa Danappa Jatti had served as Mysore Chief Minister. From 24th Aug 1974 to 11th Feb 1977 Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed had served as a president of India and from 11th Feb 1977 to 25th July 1977 Basappa Danappa Jatti had served as a president of India.

6. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy
Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was the 6th president of India; by joining in National Congress party of India he started his political career. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and was the 1st Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, 02 times Lok Sabha Speaker & also served as a Union Minister. After that, he took charge as a president of India and he was an India’s youngest president. From 25th July 1977 to 25th July 1982 he had served as a president of India.

7. Giani Zail Singh
The 7th president of India was Giani Zail Singh. He was a member of National Congress party of India and also had a political background. Giani Zail had the power of many positions in Union Cabinet Under INC. Zail Singh was also served as India’s Home Minister of India. From 25th July 1982 to 25th July 1987 he had served as a president of India.

8. Ramaswamy Venkataraman
Ramaswamy Venkataraman struggled for the freedom at the time of independence and later he became a member of the Congress party of India. He elected member of Lok Sabha for 04 times and also appointed as a Minister of Defence as four times and also served as Minister and Finance Minister of India. Becoming president of India he served as a vice president of India. He is the eighth president of India; from 25th July 1987 to 25th July 1992 he had served as a president of India.

9. Shankar Dayal Sharma
Shankar Dayal Sharma came from Bhopal and 9th president in the List of President of India. From 1952 to 1956 he served as a Bhopal Chief Minister and from 1956 to 1967 he served as a minister of Cabinet before becoming as a President of India. During the period of President Ramaswamy Venkataraman, He served as India’s vice president Shankar Dayal Sharma also served as a president of India in national Congress at the term 1972 to 1974. From 25th July 1992 to 25th July 1997 he had served as a president of India.

10. Kocheril Raman Narayanan
Kocheril Raman Narayanan simply called as K.R Narayanan and the 10th president of India. He was the 1st president who comes from the community of Dalit. He worked very active in the Government and also served as a minister of the cabinet. Before becoming a president of India he had been the ambassador of India to many countries of USA (United States of America), Japan, UK (United Kingdom), China, and Turkey. From 25th July 1997 to 25th July 2002 he had served as a president of India.

11. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was the most popular Presidents of India. He is a role model for the young generation. Abdul Kalam devoted most of his life to science and was a popular scientist of India. Kalam worked with organizations like ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization). A. P. J. Abdul Kalam is known as ‘Missile man of India’ and he also a People’s President. From 25th July 2002 to 25th July 2007 he had served as a president of India.

12. Pratibha Devi Patil
Pratibha Devi Patil was the 1st women president of India. Earlier she is the member of National Congress of India and also before becoming the 12th president of India she had taken the charge for the position of Rajasthan Governor. From 25th July 2007 to 25th July 2012 he had served as a president of India.

13. Pranab Mukherjee
Pranab Mukherjee was the 13th presidents of India, before becoming the president of India he was the member of national congress of India. He served in many key positions of as a Leader of the Rajya Sabha (1980-1985), Minister of Defence (2004-2006), External Affairs Minister (2009-2012) and also served as India’s Finance Minister (2009-2012) during his political career. From 25th July 2012 to 25th July 2017 he had served as a president of India.

14. Ram Nath Kovind
Currently, Ram Nath Kovind is serving as a president of India. On 25th July 2017, he took charge as an India’s President on. At the time of his political career, he has served as Parliament Member, Rajya Sabha from (1994-2006) and also from 2015 to 2017 he served as a Governor of Bihar from. After president K R Narayana Ram Nath Kovind is the 2nd Dalit president of India.
