This train also covers the full field. Another name of the train is Day Express because it covers almost the entire journey during the daytime.

This Express train can cover the total state of Kerala within a short period. The Parasuram Express speed is approximately 110km/hr. This train covers a long distance between these two cities. It covers almost 705 km in 16 hrs which is the most prominent proof of the excellent speed of this train. Though the speed of the train is quite good, Parasuram Express is often not on time because of many issues. Services provided by Parasuram Express:

This service of the train till Nagercoil started in 2012. Earlier it was up to Shoranur from Cochin. Parasuram Express has three coaches with AC chair car system, two sleeper coaches along with one pantry coach. Earlier 1st class AC coach was also there, but from 2015 it was removed.

The pantry of this train provides a variety of delicious dishes to the passengers. The quality of food here is outstanding. Catering facility is also available here. So, you now don’t have to worry about getting delicious food while travelling.

The route of the train:

Parasuram Express travels a long journey. It starts from Nagercoil at 4:20 am and reaches the Mangalore station at 20:30 pm. Again in its return journey, it begins from Mangalore at 5:00 am and arrives the station of Nagercoil at 20:35 pm. It travels via a new route called Shoranur-Kottayam.

Parasuram Express Fare Details:

The average Parasuram Express Fare of second Sitting (SS) is Rs. 200. The tickets of AC Chair Car (CC) costs Rs. 754, by paying Tatkal charges one can confirm their tickets as Tatkal facility is also available where one can get confirmed tickets,  in case of tatkal, all the prices are more than the usual fare. You have to pay separately for the food items you will consume. It is not included in the Parasuram Express fare.
