What are the characteristic features of Premium Tatkal on Dynamic Pricing
- The new Premium tatkal (PT) quota has been introduced by the Indian Railways with fair pricing.
- The dynamic fare is the fare component that can be raised along with an increase in the subsequent.
- Agents cannot use this system for booking quota.
- Only e-ticket booking can be made under this system.
- is not permissible under Premium Tatkal (PT) quota.
- In case of booking tickets under the Premium Tatkal scheme, Advance Reservation Period (ARP) is equal to that of a Tatkal ticket.
- The fare is the same for children as it is for the adults.
- No concession will be provided for the tatkal ticket of any train like Tirumala Express. Tirumala Express train number 17487/17488 in this framework.
- At the time of registering the tatkal ticket, the identity card number of the person is required.
- A passenger needs to carry her/his original ID card that she/he has used while booking the ticket.
- After getting a confirmed ticket for Paschim Express or Malabar Express, in case of cancellation of ticket, the refund will not be available.
When can you book Premium Tatkal tickets?
If you want to book AC tickets for the Suvidha Express or the Poorva Express, you have to book ticket one day before the date of your journey on that train. The booking commences at 10 am. The Poorva Express speed is 70 km per hour. So, it will be better if you sign in 5 minutes in advance.
Process of booking Premium Tatkal tickets
- Log in with your Username and Password into the IRCTC Application
- After selecting “Plan My Travel,” you have to enter your source and departure stations. For example, if you want to travel from Thiruvananthapuram to New Delhi in the Kerala Express, you have to enter the names of these two stations as the Kerala Express route is from Thiruvananthapuram to New Delhi.
- Then you have to choose your journey date and the type of ticket you want.
- After clicking on the Submit button, the list of Premium Tatkal trains will be available.
- Choose and book your ticket.
- Enter your details and make the payment. Your Premium Tatkal ticket will be booked.
