In case you live in Canada and you are looking for a job, there are certain websites that represent better options than others. The Job Bank website of Canada has excellent opportunities and resources available and we highly recommend you to check it if you are on the hunt.
What is the Job Bank?
The Job Bank is a job listings website that belongs to the Department of Employment and Social Development of Canada (ESDC). On the website you will find up to 80,000 jobs listed at any time and more than 5,000 jobs are posted daily.

They have a great variety of categories where you can search, more than you will find in other websites, and a good number of articles with useful information when finding a job.
How do I find a job in the Job Bank?
When you go to the Job Bank website, jobbank.gc.ca, the main thing that you see is the search bar. There you can write the job you are looking for and your city, and you can sort your search by date posted, best match (according to your skills) or select if you want to see jobs posted in the last three days.
Once you click on a job, information about it will display, like requirements, language, salary and how you can apply.
In case they don’t find any job in your area, the website will show you the closer options available.
If the job is from a partner site (some jobs are listed directly into the website and others aren’t), the website will show a brief description of the job and you will have the link to the whole information.

To register you will have to follow a series of steps. First, the site will show you the terms and conditions that you will have to accept to continue, and it will show a warning that you need to provide your Social Insurance Number, your mother’s maiden name and your birth date, if you are a Canadian citizen; or your Canada Express Entry profile identification number & your job seeker verification code if you applied in an Express Entry applicant. This is because there more thing you can do there besides getting a job.
After that, you will have to fill the information of your profile by writing your email, password and selecting the language. Then you will have to complete the confirmation and authentication process, and introduce a couple security questions.
