This Ministry of Minority Affairs is comparatively a new branch of the Indian Government. This Ministry came into existence in the year 2006 to highlight the problems of the minor communities and solve their problems. The minor communities in India include Muslim, Buddhist, Parsis, Christian, Sikhs, and Jain. The ministry looks after the different policies and organizes different development programmes through which the minor communities can get some benefits.
