Another fort called Jaigarh fort occupies its place on the Cheel ka Teela ( Hill of Eagles ). It is among the famous forts in Jaipur and of Aravalli range of hills where Amber palace is also located. The Amer Palace and Jaigarh Fort considered to one complex. It is because the two are connected by a subterrestrial passage. This passage in times of war acted as an escape route for royal family members and others in the Amer Fort. It enabled them to shift to the more dreadful Jaigarh Fort.
