The Tamil Women worship the Pachai Amman Goddess and all the families will go to the picnic nearby banks of Rivers of India. After the completion of the festival in the evening, the ladies offer the light lamps in the river and offer their prayers

Hariyali Tej – August 13th, 2018

Hariyali Tej is also known as “Choti Teej” is a monsoon festival celebrated in North Indian married women on the third day of the Shravanamasam. They worship the Parvati Goddess and sing the songs and dances in this festival. They also do fasting and receive the gifts from their parents. It is also one of the Major Festivals in August 2018 India.

Nag Panchami – August 15th, 2018

Nag Panchami is also one of the August Festivals 2018 celebrated by men and women by feeding the milk and worshipping the snakes. In many areas the women will do Serpents paintings and celebrate is for their families safety.

Varalakshmi Vratham – August 24th, 2018

Varalakshmi Vratham is mostly celebrated in the following states of Telangana State, Andhra Pradesh State, Karnataka State, Tamil Nadu State and some Maharashtra State areas. It celebrated by married women by doing fasting and worship the Goddess Lakshmi for the longevity of their husbands. The Karva Chauth also a similar festival celebrated in Northern states.

Raksha Bandhan – August 26th, 2018

Raksha Bandhan is also one of the Famous August Festivals of India celebrated by brothers and sisters all over India. It is the festival which signifies the bond between brother and sister. The sisters will tie the Rakhi to their brothers and receives gifts from them. The Rakhi thread signifies the “Protecting the Sister in all aspects”.

Krishna Janmashtami

The Lord Krishna Birthday will celebrate as Krishnashtami. It is also one of the major Festivals of India. The places of Mathura and Brindavan will celebrate with the huge crowd. The devotees offer sweets, sings songs, performs the dances etc.
