The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms is a Department in the State of Karnataka, India. The abbreviated form of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms is DPAR. The primary function of the Department is to administer the Janaspandana Meetings at Hobli Level in Karnataka. It also gives instructions to the State’s Deputy Commissioners as well as other officers of the state for proper implementation of the Janaspandana programme.e janaspandana

DPAR Karnataka performs its activities as Karnataka’s Nodal Department for implementing the 2005 Right to Information Act. It deals with the issues that concern the implementation of the 2005 RTI Act and also the Karnataka Right to Information Rules.

The DPAR (Janaspandana) is accountable for monitoring the Janaspandana Meetings that take place at Hobli Level. It gives instructions to several officers and the Deputy Commissioners for the effective functioning of their programme. In the year 2008, the Karnataka State Government commenced the Janaspandana meetings, and the programme has been dramatically successful.

2. Public Grievance Petitions – ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ದೂರುಗಳುpublic grievance petitions karnataka

DPAR Janaspandana’s Principal Secretary looks after the progress of Public Grievance Petitions’ disposals that remain pending in the office of Chief Executive Officers, Deputy Commissioners and the District Superintendent of polices. The Principal Secretary also visits those districts where more grievances are pending and advise the District level officers for quick disposal of the pending petitions.

3. Food Security – ಆಹಾರ ಭದ್ರತೆ

There is a committee at District Level, consisting of three members, namely, the Zilla Panchayat’s Chief executive Officers, the Deputy Commissioner of the State and the Secretary-in-charge of the particular district. They deal with the public’s redressal of grievances regarding several Food Security Schemes. These schemes come under the State Government of Karnataka.
