Exam schedule
WBCS form fill up 2019 is over and the candidate wishing to edit must log in to their accounts and also do the essential changes. The preliminary West Bengal PSC exam is scheduled for 20 January 2019. In fact, eligible candidates will receive admit card for the January preliminary exam.
The preliminary exam pattern consists of one paper and it is for 200 marks. The exam duration time is for 2 hours and 30 minutes. This WBCS exam 2019 is for various posts and also groups A to D. The process of selection will be in three stages, Preliminary, mains, and also the interview.
You may initiate WBCS 2019 preliminary exam preparation for January 2019 and this will be followed in July or August with the Mains. There is a need to have knowledge over General studies and also the best is to go through NCERT class 6 to 10 class textbooks. In fact, you can also check the State Education Board’s West Bengal textbooks of 8 to 10.
Preparation required
There is a need to know about Geography, Economy, Polity, Tech and Science, current affairs, environment, English, reasoning, and Mathematics. Apart from this compulsory is Bengali. You can go through the WBCS Mains question papers of the previous years. Taking an optional subject is mandatory.
Fortunately, there are coaching centers offering to coach and also keeping mock tests. There is no compulsion; you can always study on your own. However, you must be sincere to offer 4-5 hours of studying time as a minimum. You may revise and regularly practice questions.
WBCS form fills up is possible on fulfilling the eligibility criteria such as:
- You must be a citizen of India naturally or by registration.
- 21 years and also below 36 years.
- Between 20 and 21 years may accept only for Group B.
- Age relaxation is only for S.C., S.T, and B.C for an addition of 5 years and also for disabled people it is up to 45 years.
- A degree from the recognized university
- Should speak, write, and read Bengali. However, if your mother tongue is Nepali you exempted from Bengali reading, writing and also speaking.
Note:
A candidate considered to have a certificate of eligibility as essential also given admission to the exam, but the appointment or offer letter given only after the eligibility essential criteria issued by the Government to him or her. The eligible candidate should have Good character and health, besides suitability to Government service in all the angles to meet the appointment.
