24×7 Power Supply for Agriculture Divisions in Telangana from March 2018
24×7 supply of power to the agriculture divisions from March 2018 around the Telangana State has been announced by the Telangana State Government. In order to provide 24×7 power supplies to the agriculture divisions the government of TRS on the probationary system from 6th Nov of 2017. Nevertheless, by 2018 to 2019 the State Government of Telangana has set a time limit in order to provide 24×7 power supply to all families, industries, commercial business, public needs and too many more areas.

The Telangana State will provide an experiment of supplying power to agriculture divisions for 5 (or) 6 days a week under the scheme of 24×7 power supply. To come up with best and an effective solution the State Government of Telangana check advantages and disadvantages for implementing of 24×7 power supply to the agriculture divisions and if all the issues would be observed fine means then made permanent implementation of 24×7 power supply to the agriculture divisions.
Across India, the highest consumption of power is the Telangana State. Against the national average of 917 units per capita consumption of the Telangana over 985 units cross-checked from the data of an Electricity department. In order to strengthen the transmission of electricity, the state government will invest Rs. 1600 cores for the distribution of network in the Telangana.

By 2017 to 2018 as protection from 15 hours power supply, the State Government of Telangana has guaranteed that they will establish the scheme of 24×7 power supply to all the divisions together with rural divisions. Also, the State Government of Telangana has guaranteed that they will provide 9 hrs of the power supply as protection from 7 hours.
There are 44,532 urban families & 721,588 families are ready to be electrified in the Telangana as per the official data, by the end of 2017 to 2018 the department of Electrical power has planning to complete the electrification process of all families. The range of 13,500 Million Watts to 14k Million Watts,current demand for power expected. This requirement can provide the facility of continuous power supply agriculture pump sets in the Telangana State.
The requirement of the Telangana was 8,300 Million Watts against 6,890 Million Watts in the previous year has informed by the State Government of Telangana. Hence, from 2018 to 2019 the department of TSGENCO (Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited) is planning to invest Rs. 42,491 Cores in order to set up a more thermal power station to meet the increasing requirement of the Telangana State.

The State Government of Telangana has informed that in the form of allowance the cost for power supply of 24×7 will be bearded and 800 Million Watts 7th Unit of KTPS (Kota Thermal Power Station) is expecting to complete by Dec of this year.
