Andaman and Nicobar Islands – अंडमान व नोकोबार द्वीप समूह
Andaman and Nicobar Islands is one among the 07 Union Territories of India and an archipelago of around 570 hot and humid islands of India. It is located in the at the point of Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and is bordered with 150 kilometers (or) 93 miles north of Aceh which is located in Indonesia and it separated by the Andaman Sea from Myanmar (Burma) and Thailand.
The population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The Population of Andaman and Nicobar is about 380,520 and the Districts are covering with an area of 8,250 square kilometers (or) 3,190 square miles, which comes 28th on the area basis in India.
Andaman and Nicobar Language
The official and native language of Andaman Nicobar is “Hindi” (अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप) and “English” which are widely spoken languages in the state. The other spoken languages of the Island are Bengali, Tamil, Nicobarese, Malayalam, Odia, Telugu and Marathi.
Formation of Andaman and Nicobar Island
Due to the variance between Burma Minor Plate (Which is a division of Eurasian Plate) and Indian Plate the Andaman and Nicobar Island has formed. It was established on the year 01st Nov of 1956.
