Free gas for people who are below the poverty line in Andhra Pradesh
Keeping in mind the plight of the families that are below the poverty line, the state government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a fantastic LPG AP Deepam Scheme. The companies in the state that deal with oil marketing will give full subsidy towards the security to these families.

Hari Babu, a member of Lok Sabha, has announced the scheme in the IOC office. He has pointed out a significant difference between this new scheme and the Deepam scheme, another beneficial scheme launched by the state government of Andhra Pradesh.
The advantage of this new scheme is that the Central Government will pay the total amount which is Rs 1600. Rs. 1450 is the price of the cylinder, and the rest is for the regulator. The stove, however, needs to be purchased by the beneficiary.
Interested citizens have to submit the following documents to take advantage of this excellent scheme:
- white ration card along
- Aadhaar Card
- The certificate which is given by the Tehsildars

Deepam Scheme for BPL families
Among 6.35 lakh candidates, Deepam AP has selected 29,000 families. Under the Deepam Gas scheme, the government of the state will issue LPG connection in the name of the woman member of the chosen families. Other beneficiaries who are eligible can also apply to be benefited from a free Deepman gas connection.
To promote Deepam and to aware the beneficiaries about the advantages of AP EPDS Deepam, Tehsildars have been instructed to launch campaigns in the villages of Andhra Pradesh. After the completion of the project, the districts of Andhra Pradesh will be totally kerosene-free.
For other citizens also, gas service has become more advanced. Consumers are supplied LPG refills within one day of placing the order in AP Food and Civil Supplies Department.
