India is the country which posses a huge range of forests. There are many Different Types of Forests in India from the Kerala State rainforest. The Forest is located in the south to the mountaintop range which is located in the north and from the Rajasthan State deserts which located in the west to the evergreen forest which is located in the north-east.
The Forest types in India are determined on the major factors including Type of Soil, Elevation, Climate, and Topography. The Types of Forests of India are classified based on their climate type in which they blossom, It’s bonding with environmental surroundings, composition, and nature. These Forests are administered by The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change – MoEFCC

These types of forests are the mixture of Moist Deciduous Trees and Wet Evergreen Trees.

Dry Deciduous Forest
Dry Deciduous Forests are located in Uttar Pradesh State, Orissa State, Punjab State, Bihar State and Madhya Pradesh State. These Forest types in India have Occurred usually the areas which consist of low rainfall that ranging from 70 centimetres to 100 centimetres and the huge range of forest is covered with Dry Deciduous Forest

Dry Evergreen Forest
Dry Evergreen Forest is also one of the Different Types of Forests in India. It occupies the Himalayas foothill locations. It produces the following vegetation trees of Oleo Cuspidate, Acacia Modesta, and many more. The Wild Animals of India will roam in all these types of forests

Sub Tropical Broad-Leaved Forest

Sub Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest

Montane Moist Temperate Forest
Montane Moist Temperate Forest is similar like Forest types in India. These are located in the Himalayas which extends from Nepal region to Sikkim State along with in some Southern region of Indian areas include Nilgiris. Montane Moist Temperate Forest is also called as “Sholas” in the Southern, region

Sub Alpine Forest – Types of Forests of India
Sub Alpine Forests are located in the areas of entire Himalayas region starts from Ladakh which is located in the west to Arunachal Pradesh which is located in the east, these forests have existed at the time of snowfall and the annual rainfall will < 65 centimeters

Wet Evergreen Forest
Wet Evergreen Forests is similar like other Types of Forests of India. These are located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Districts, North East India and South Western Ghats. Wet Evergreen Forest consists of straight trees that have roots on the 03 sides which look like a tripod that favors the tree to be straight due to storm (or) a supporting trunk.

Moist Deciduous Forest
Moist Deciduous Forests are located in the Deccan Plateau which is located on the west side of the following areas: North Eastern Andhra, in some areas of Himalayas, extends from Punjab Districts which is located in the west to Assam State Valley which is located in the East. Littoral and Swamp Forest
Littoral and Swamp Forest are also known as “Mangrove Forests”. It also similar to other Different Types of Forests of India. Littoral and Swamp Forest grew with the coast particularly in the deltas of rivers because they can able to grow in the salty and freshwater mixture.
Thorn Forest
Thorn Forests also called “Xerophytic Species” because of conserving the water easily. The unique nature of this Thorn Forest is the most of these trees are consists of thorns which safeguards them from the herbivores animals alongside to reduce the loss of water.

Sub Tropical Pine Forest
Sub Tropical Pine Forests are located in Hills of Assam Districts, Western Himalayas alongside Central Himalayas. These Types of Forests of India consist of the following species: Pinus, berberis, Bauhinia, Quercus, and Carissa.

Montane Wet Temperate Forest
It is similar like Types of Forests of India, which are located not only in the areas of fairy heavy rainfall but also in the winter and summer which are less marked. Montane Wet Temperate Forest is subtropical and temperate forests.

Montane Dry Temperate Forest
