About Endowments Department Telangana
Telangana State has its rich culture and heritage which consists of most beautiful Festivals and Jatharas of Telangana State like festivals of Bonalu, Bathukamma Festival etc and Jatharas of Edupayala Jatharara, Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jathara, Telangana Krishna Pushkaralu etc. These are maintained and runs under the Endowments Department Telangana. It is an advisory department based on all matters of religions. All the endowments and Institutions of Public Charitable governance and administration will concentrate on this department (మాన్యాలు శాఖ తెలంగాణ) of Telangana State
Telangana Endowments Department Objectives
The following are the objectives of the Telangana Endowments Department:
- In accordance with the Act Provisions, it administers the Public Religious Institutions of Hindus whether the institutions are registered (or) not
- For the Employees who are working in charitable institutions, endowments and Temples Welfare the department is providing financial support with the help of Telangana Finance Department under the Archaka and Employees Welfare Fund Schemes of Telangana.
- For propagation and administration, the Temples Board of Trustees Organization will advise and suggest the department
- Other than Wakfs which is governed by the Act of Wakfs, 1954, the endowments and Institutions of Public Charitable whether registered (or) not will do governance and administration
- For the reunion of lands of endowments, it coordinated with the Telangana Revenue Department and will protect the lands of Hindus institutions from the infringements
- Under the Common Good Fund Scheme, the department will provide financial support to the Kalyanamandapams construction and establishment of religious institutions for the renovation
- It also provides financial support to theVedapatashalas for maintenance and for Adhyapakatwam, Silpam, Archakatvam, Vaidyam and Vedaprayanikatwam training schools along with Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam services for the needy religious temples.
