Kanya Vidya Dhan Online Registration:
Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana is a scheme of providing scholarship which is initiated by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to the meritorious students in girls in the state. Under this Scheme, the Uttar Pradesh Government offers Rs. 30,000 as financial assistance to each girl student who has successfully attained merit distinction in Intermediate board exams.
Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana 2016:
For the year 2016, under the Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana Scheme, the government of UP would distribute Rs. 267.3 crore to 89,100 meritorious girl students. An amount of Rs. 30,000 would be directly transferred to the girl students saving bank accounts who have achieved excellence in 12th board or equivalent state examinations.
The transferring of the amount will take place by September end to the to the benefited student’s bank accounts.
Earlier, this scheme was only eligible for UP board girl students but the UP state government has changed to include more institutions and boards.
This Scheme now includes meritorious students of Class XII of SSE (State Secondary Education) Council, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education), UP Sanskrit Education Council and UP Madarsa Council.
Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana Objective:
The main aim of this scheme is to motivate girl students to go to higher studies and assist them financially. This Scheme is dedicated to the girls from poor backgrounds who are unable to persue higher education due to funds shortage.
Eligibility Criteria of Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana:
This Scheme is only eligible for those girl students whose annual income of the family is not higher than the amount as determined by the Government. The girl student should also attain merit distinction in their XII or equivalent examinations.
Only the girls of Uttar Pradesh Board, SSE Council, CBSE, and ICSE, UP Sanskrit Education Council and UP Madarsa Council who have passed 12th class are eligible for the scheme.
How to Apply for Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana?
For applying for Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana Scheme, the girl students who are eligible needs to fill the application form.
Application Form:
The form can be downloaded through online. The application form filled has to be submitted in the School from where Class XII is passed. The Respective School then evaluates and verifies the details and sends it to the concerned DIOS Office or Jila Vidyalaya Nirikshak who is known as the District Inspector of School.
