About Manipur State
Manipur State is one among the 29 states of India which is located in the North Eastern Region and is bordered with Nagaland which is located on the north, Mizoram which is located on the South, Assam which is located on the West, and Burma (Myanmar) which is located on the east. The capital city of MN is the Imphal.
MN Population
The Population of MN state is about 2,855,794 which is the 24th largest state in Indian population and the MN Districts are covering with an area of 22,327 square kilometres (or) 8261 square miles, which comes 24th on the area basis.
MN Language
The official and native language of MN state is “Meitei” (Manipuri) and approximately 79.85% of population will use Manipuri language
Formation of MN State
MN state came into existence on 21st Jan of 1972 under the state reorganisation Act. The High Court of Manipur is the apex judicial body in the state.
