The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment or MSJE is a crucial Ministry of Government of India (भारत सरकार). This Ministry solely focuses on the marginalized segments of this society including SC or scheduled castes and OBC or Other Backward Classes in India. They work for their social justice and empowerment. This particular Ministry also focuses on the older adults, disabled people, and drug addicts of the society. Apart from that they mainly concentrate on the welfare of SC, STs.

The History of the Ministry of social justice
They Government divided the Ministry of Welfare into two parts in between 1985 to 1986. The two departments were the Department of Welfare and the Department of Women and Child Development. In the main while, various departments including the Division of Tribal Development, the Division of Scheduled Castes Development, The Division of the Wakf which comes under the Ministry of Law and the Division for the Welfare of Minorities and Backward Classes which comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs came to create the new Welfare Ministry.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment or SJE came into existence in the year 1988. In the year 1999, the Division of Tribal Development left this particular Ministry and became the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. After that, in the year 2007, the Wakf Division and the Minorities Division left this Ministry and became the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The Division of Child Development also moved and became the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
