Nahargarh Fort – नाहरगढ़ फोर्ट
Nahargarh Fort is located on the circumference of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Once a strong defence ring for the city is formed by Nahargarh with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort. The Nahargarh Kila at the beginning named as Sudarshangarh. Now it is known as Nahargarh, it means ‘abode of tigers’. Nahar stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia, whose spirit obsessed the place and blocked the fort construction in Rajasthan State. Nahar’s courage was pacified by constructing a temple in his memory within the fort.

Nahargarh Fort History
Nahargarh Fort Built in the year 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. He is the founder of Jaipur. Fort Walls extended over the surrounding hills, forming defenses that connected this fort to Jaigarh. It is above the old capital of Amber. The historical event of the fort is a battle of Maratha forces with Jaipur which is held in the 18th century.
