About SERP Telangana

A SERP stands for “Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty” was founded by the Andhra Pradesh State Government in order to reduce the poverty through social mobilization along with rural poor livelihoods development. After the formation of Telangana, SERP is divided into AP SERP and TG SERP for implementing IKP (Indira Kranthi Patham). Currently, SERP Telangana is a Rural Development Department of Telangana State.

In order to conquer the all economic, Psychological, social and cultural barriers through the self – managed organizations shall empower the disadvantaged communities through SADAREM Telangana.

Important points of Telangana Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty

  • Under Stree Nidhi Telangana 47, 20,342 of rural women organized into 4, 14,406 SHG’s, 17,978 Organisations of Village, 442 Mandal Samakhyas, 09 Zilla Samakhyas.
  • PWD’s (Persons with Disabilities) of 1, 97,144 in 19,654 exclusive SHG’s for PWD’s (Persons with Disabilities)
  • 20,486 of women cases had resolved
  • The fertile land of 1,772 acres with resources of water has handed over to the poor of the rural areas
  • 1,307 early child educations had established with the students of 2171.

Through the SSP (Social Security Programs) about 23,70,219 lakhs of women have enrolled in Abhayahastham. Another 01 lakhs poor rural women have enrolled into JBY in the country.
