The Sringeri Temple History

When Shri Shankaracharya was walking around with his disciples, the country reached the shrine. Here was the ashram of Maharishi Vibhandak and his son Rishyaa Shring. By reaching there, Shankaracharya saw that a cobra is spreading its wings and also protecting pregnant frog from the sunny heat. He very impressed by seeing this scene. Sri Aadhi Shankaracharya has established Sringeri Sharada Peetham. Sringeri is one of the five monasteries located in different parts of India.
