2. Kamuthi Solar Power Park – Tamil Nadu
The Kamuthi solar project is the world’s wide single position power plant situated in Kamuthi, Tamil Nadu State. It is the 2nd largest solar park in Kamuthi Power Plant with the capacity of 648-MW authorized by ‘Adani Power’.
3. Bhadla Solar Power Park – Rajasthan
The Bhadla Solar Power Park situated in Jodhpur. It is India’s 3rd largest Solar Power park with an area of 10,000 acres in Rajasthan State. The capacity of the power plant is 2,225 MW. National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) announced that the Bhadla plant ordered 115 MW on February 22, 2017.

4. Charanka Solar Power Plant – Gujarat
Asia’s biggest Solar Power Plant situated in Charanka village, Gujarat State. The solar park, with the area of 5,384 acres which is unused land with the capacity of 345 MW. It is the World’s 2nd largest photovoltaic solar power station.

5. Sakri Solar Plant – Maharashtra
The Sakri Solar Plant is the largest plant in Maharashtra State situated in Dhule district. The Capacity of the Sakri plant is 125 MW. It also called as Shivajinagar Sakri Plant and also one of the largest plants in India.

6. Welspun Solar Madhya Pradesh Power Project
The Welspun power project also one of the largest plants in India situated in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. Welspun solar plant runs with the capacity of 750 MW. It used to generate the electricity in MP state.
7. Dhirubhai Ambani Solar Power Park – Rajasthan
The Reliance Group of Industries constructed the Dhirubhai Ambani Plant in Pokhran city, Jaisalmer district of the Rajasthan State. Ambani solar plant runs with the capacity of 40 MW. It is the largest plant in the Thar Desert and also biggest in Rajasthan.
8. Banasura Sagar Floating Solar Plant – Kerala
In India, we have only 1 floating solar plant situated in Banasura Sagar Dam in Wayanad, Kerala State. The Kochi airport became the 1st fully Solar Powered Airport from all over the world. The Indian Railways also inaugurated 1st Solar Powered DEMU Train in India.
9. Pavagada Solar Power Power Park – Karnataka
The Pavagada Solar Power Plant situated in Tumkur district of Karnataka State. It constructed on October 2016 and generates 600 MW. The Cost of the construction of the Solar plant is approx 14 crores.
10. Upcoming Solar Plants in India
Honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated a biggest Solar Power Plant in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh State with the capacity of 75 MW. The plan to launch the solar power plant is to provide the solar electricity to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
