About TSCHE

TSCHE stands for “Telangana State Council of Higher Education” has launched by Telangana State Government by embracing the act 16 of APSCHE of 1988 as per the furnishings of the Andhra Pradesh reorganisation act of 2014

Initially, the TSCHE is coordinating department between UGC (University Grants Commission), the government of a state and the universities. According to the guidelines of UGC (University Grants Commission), the Telangana State Council of Higher Education should coordinate and should determine the standards in higher education institutions, research, technical and scientific institutions from time to time.

Functions of Telangana State Council of Higher Education

Telangana State Council of Higher Education has 03 main functions, they are:

  • Planning and Coordination
  • Academic Functions
  • Advisory Functions

The above three functions of Telangana State Council of Higher Education is explained briefly in the following:

Planning and Coordination

  • According to the guidelines of UGC (University Grants Commission), the Telangana State Council of Higher Education should coordinate and should determine the standards in higher education institutions, research, technical and scientific institutions from time to time along with to assist their implementation
  • To develop perspective plans of Higher education in the Telangana state
  • By increasing ways and additional resources for Higher education in the Telangana state

Academic Functions

  • In order to promote and coordinate the Autonocollege’sleges programs along with monitoring its implementation
  • Conducting the cultural activities, sports, games and physical education in the colleges and universities
  • To embellish a copy to the UGC (University Grants Commission) of the report on the overview of working of the colleges and universities in the Telangana State

Advisory Functions

  • Advising on “Earning with Learning” policy
  • To construct band new institutions for self sufficient and workable
  • In order to act any other functions for the development of Higher education in the Telangana State
