TSTRANSCO stands for “Telangana State Transmission Corporation Limited” also known as “TS Vidyut Soudha” was responsible for generating, transmitting and distributing electricity. It was established on the Telangana State Formation Day i.e., 02nd June of 2014.

The old SEB (State Electricity Board) was established in 1959 and under act 1998 was developed with 03 Government organisations namely: TSGENCO (Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited), DISCOMs (04 distribution companies) including CPDCL, TSSPDCL (Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited), NPDCL (Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited), EPDCL (Eastern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited) and TS TRANSCO (Transmission Company) as part of the reform process.
