UP State Population

Formation of UP State
UP State is formed on 01st Apr of 1937 during British rule as “United Provinces” and was renamed as Uttar Pradesh State on Republic Day i.e. 26th Jan of 1950. In the year 2000, on 9th November they found a new state from the Himalayan region of this state. The name of that new state was Uttarakhand.

Uttar Pradesh Technical University
Another name of Uttar Pradesh Technical University is Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. This public collegiate university is in Lucknow. It came into existence in the year 2000, on 8th May by the UP Government. Later on, they divided it into parts in the year 2010, on 1st May to reduce the work pressure and for an excellent management system. These parts are separate universities now. The names of these universities are of the following Mahamaya Technical University and Gautam Buddha Technical University. A new Government took the authority in the year 2013. That time they combined these two universities and formed this university once again. Over 800 colleges come under this university. The newly inaugurated campus is in Jankipuram, Lucknow. Guru Gobind Singh Sports College Lucknow has been set up by Up Government.
