About Uttarakhand State

Uttarakhand State is one among the 29 states of India which is located in the Northern Region and is bordered with Tibet which is located on the north, Nepal (Province number 07) which is located on the east, Uttar Pradesh which is located on the south, Himachal Pradesh which is located on the west and north-west and Haryana which is located on the southwestern corner. The capital city is the Dehradun and is also the largest city.

The Population of UT state is about 10,086,292 which is the 20th largest state in Indian population and the UT Districts are covering with an area of 53,483 square kilometres (or) 20,650 square miles, which comes 19th on the area basis.

The official and native language of Uttarakhand state is “Hindi” (उत्तराखंड) which is widely spoken languages in the state i.e. approximately.

Formation of UT State

UT state came into existence on 09th Nov of 2000. The High Court of Uttarakhand is the apex judicial body in the state.
