West Bengal
West Bengal State is one among the 29 states of India which are located in the Eastern Region on the Bay of Benbgal and is bordered with Bangladesh which is located on the east, Bhutan and Nepal which is located on the north and it is also bordered with states of Jharkhand, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, and Bihar. The capital city is the “Kolkata” formerly known as “Calcutta”.

The Population of WB is about 91,347,736 which is the 04th largest state in India population and the Districts are covering with an area of 88,752 square kilometers (or) 34,267 square miles, which comes 14th on the area basis.
WB Language
The official and native language of WB state are “Bengali” (পশ্চিম বাংলা) and “English which are widely spoken languages in the state.
Formation of WB State
The state came into existence on the Republic Day i.e, 26th Jan of 1950. The High Court of West Bengal is the apex judicial body in the state.
